Objectives:
1. To update the information of the book “Hong Kong Mushrooms” (Chang & Mao, 1995); updating process includes canceling out (both native and import) species in the book, which do not currently exist in Hong Kong and adding in new mushroom species discovered or reported in the Hong Kong territory
2. To revise and compile the scientific names, English common names, Chinese common names (including those names used in Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan)
3. To provide a new and clear online and interactive mushrooms database for the public
